Still’s Disease Awareness Day

Let’s put the Dragon to sleep!

September 7th was established as a day to raise awareness for Still’s Disease so we can inspire research that will put the Dragon “to sleep” – while putting ourselves first by giving the Dragon a rest.

While raising awareness is key, it can be done simply by sharing some posts on social media or just telling someone about your disease.  But take it easy – this is also to remind ourselves to REST and take care of ourselves!

Still’s Awareness Day is hosted by the International Foundation for Autoimmune & Autoinflammatory Arthritis (IFAA), the nonprofit organization that acquired all resources and programs from the International Still’s Disease Foundation upon their dissolve in September 2017.

Ways you can raise awareness for Still’s Awareness Day:

Participate in Raising Awareness

Wear Red.  Yes, it can be that simple!  Put on your red and if anyone asks you why you are wearing red, or compliments you on your outfit, use that as an opportunity to tell them about Still’s Disease.

Wear Red AND Take a Photo, Post it on Social Media Using #StillsAwareness.  Use this opportunity to make a statement about Still’s Disease, share with other photos that teach others about the disease, or show us how you are taking the day to “rest the Dragon”!

Follow and Share Posts on Facebook & Twitter. You can also follow us on Twitter or at our NEW public Facebook page (launching on September 7th!), where we will be posting about Still’s Disease and you can simply share those posts.

Share Photos of Dragons/Wear Dragon Items.  What better way to promote a conversation than showing up wearing a dragon on your chest!  Or sporting a fake dragon tattoo … or taking a photo of you “slaying” a dragon?  Be creative!  And make sure to share it with us either on our Twitter or NEW Facebook page launching on the 7th.  Use #StillsAwareness with the photo so we can find it and we’ll share!

Consider Getting More Involved in Research to Help Put the Dragon to Sleep for Good
